The Research Management Office (RMO) of the College of Medicine, University of Lagos was created to advance the College’s capacity to actualize her strategic mission of correct positioning as a world class research intensive Medical School.

The RMO is to value and support the research efforts of all our faculties for development of an effective research infrastructure supported by appropriate human and physical resources, to facilitate research collaborations in prioritized areas and strengthen our connections with external stakeholders and partners.

We expect our academic staff to engage in high-quality research and knowledge transfer activities which will contribute to policy development, improvement of professional practice and delivering of tangible outcomes to the society at large.

Our institutional commitment to responsible conduct of research and good management of grants is reflected in the structure of our RMO and range of policies put in place to guide research activities in the College. The result of this is quite obvious with good number of grants attracted into our institution over the years. Our researchers are known for active involvement in both national and international grants.
