COLLEGE OF MEDICINE UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS MANAGEMENT ORGANIZES A TWO-DAY TRAINING PROGRAM FOR ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANTS
In an effort aimed at improving work performance and service delivery, the Management of the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, organized a two-day intensive training program for Administrative Assistants of the institution on Monday 22 and Tuesday 23, April 2024 at the Alumni Centre, College of Medicine, Idi-Araba.

The capacity-building program tagged “A 2-day training for Administrative Assistants for excellent performance in their jobs” was flagged off by the Provost, Professor David Adewale Oke , FAMedS, on Monday, April 22, 2024.

In his remarks on the closing day of the program, the Provost congratulated all participants and expressed optimism that the training would improve their productivity. He stated that the training program would be done regularly and admonished the participants on the need to also improve themselves academically.

Throughout the two-day program, attendees benefited from a series of lectures delivered by Senior Administrative staff, including the College Secretary, Dr. Olayinka Obafemi-Moses, who not only conceived the idea but also contributed to the training sessions. Participants were taught in mails handling, retrieval and filing.

In appreciating the Provost at the closure of the Training session, the College Secretary expressed gratitude on behalf of the participants for his support and appreciated other Management staff who came with him.

The closing ceremony was attended by the Deputy Provost, Professor D.O. Odebiyi; Ag. Medical Librarian, Dr. Blessing Ukachi; Director of Engineering Services, Engr. Olatunbosun Oloyede; Deputy College Secretary , General Administration, Mr. O. Kayode-Owotutu, Deputy College Secretary , Academic Affairs, Mr. O. Odubunmi and Deputy College Secretary, Human Resources, Mrs Adebimpe Odeniyi.
