The Association of Science Laboratory Technologists of Nigeria (ASLTON), Idiaraba Branch, convened a meeting with the Provost, Professor David Oke, FAMedS, on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, to express gratitude for his support and also congratulate him on his laudable achievements in the College of Medicine, University of Lagos.
The delegation also used the occasion to reiterate their previous request and other present concerns of the association.
The provost, in his response, welcomed them to his new office and acknowledged the issues presented. He suggested collaboration in research among the Laboratory Technologists and academic staff in the departments in order to effectively utilize their resources to improve some of the laboratory needs, and pledged to facilitate interaction between the academic staff and the technologist.
During the course of the visit, the delegation presented an award to the Provost as a token of appreciation.
