OFFICIALS OF THE CHAPEL OF THE HEALING CROSS, IDI-ARABA PAYS A COURTESY CALL TO THE PROVOST
The officials of The Chapel of the Healing Cross, College of Medicine of the University of Lagos/Lagos University Teaching Hospital Idi-Araba, led by the new Chief Resident Minister, Venerable Samuel Onafeso on Thursday, May 11, 2023 paid a courtesy call on the Provost, Professor David Adewale Oke and other members of the College of Medicine management in the office.
Venerable Onafeso informed the management that he assumed office as the new Chief Resident Minister of the Chapel on 1st January, 2023. He emphasized on the laudable achievements and development of the College under the able leadership of the Provost and the purpose of the visit is to express the appreciation of the entire congregation of the Chapel of the Healing Cross for the existing partnership between Chapel and the College.
Venerable Onafeso acknowledged the historical relationship between the Chapel and the College of Medicine. and used the occasion to outline some of the Chapel’s plan for the College and its student such as; Reading room project for students, indigent scholarships scheme, setting up of laundry and canteen services etc, and therefore solicited for the cooperation of the College of Medicine management in order to achieve their plans.
The Provost, Professor David Oke FAMedS, welcomed the visitors to the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, and affirmed the existing cordial relationship between the Chapel and the College of Medicine.
He acknowledged the past contributions of the Chapel to the College of Medicine, University of Lagos and appreciated them for showing further interest in the development of the College.
The Provost thanked the visitors for the visit and assured them of their support while promising that the College of Medicine management will reciprocate the visit.
Present were the: Deputy Provost, Professor O.AT. Ebuehi; College Secretary, Dr. O. A. Obafemi-Moses, FNIM; Director of Finance, Dr. S. A. Akinade; the Ag. Medical Librarian, Dr. N. B. Ukachi; Director of Engineering Services, Engineer O. Oloyede, and Reverend Oluwasegun Aiyedero of the Chapel of the Healing Cross.
