COMPUTER UNIT
The Computer Unit is the electronic data processing unit of the Finance Department. It houses the main server and backup server which contains the database of the College SAGE financials and HR payroll system. The Unit serves as the focal point of all other Units in the Department (including Medilag Ventures). It ensures seamless network connectivity to the application and data base servers from remote unit computers and assist in proffering solution to any system related issues that can impede the normal daily work flow in the department. Other duties includes the posting of cheque authorities, journal, vouchers and receipts into the general ledgers using SAGE ERP and we provide backend support during the monthly salary processing runs, amongst others. The Unit have a very strong work relationship with Cash Office, Reconciliation Unit and Salaries and Wages Unit; while having medium/strong work relationship with other Units in the Department.
