At the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, there is a tradition of producing world-class highly trained medical and allied manpower. Based on this premise, endowed or scholarships may be established and funded by an individual alumnus or alumna, or by a class. You can also contribute to a variety of student activities, like the financially challenged Student Fund or support the Rejuvenation Campaign.

Make It Count
The importance of scholarships and financial aid cannot be overstated. Students rely on this support to pursue a medical education. The need for scholarships continues to grow-creating a gap of unmet need among Medilag students.

All gifts to scholarships at CMUL move us closer to the goal. It is true that every little bit counts. Regardless of how much you’re able to give, every gift is important to the CMUL Scholarship Endowment and most importantly, to students! Make sure your gifts counts!

Is it a stretch for you to think about making a lump sum gift? Consider making a monthly or annual commitment to the initiative. There are many ways to split your gift to make it manageable for your budget and to make the greatest impact for Medilag students.

Think Bigger?
The College of Medicine recognizes donors and partners that can share our dreams. To create your own named endowed scholarship or to discuss your giving opportunities, please feel free to contact Mr. Olakunle Babatunde (Office of the Provost, Alumni Unit) +234.802.835.0986 or mail to cmulalumni@cmul.edu.ng

Leave a Legacy
“Everyone must leave something behind when he dies, my grandfather said. A child or a book or a painting or a house or a wall built or a pair of shoes made. Or a garden planted. Something your hand touched some way so your soul has somewhere to go when you die, and when people look at that tree or that flower you planted, you’re there.

It doesn’t matter what you do, he said, so long as you change something from the way it was before you touched it into something that’s like you after you take your hands away. The difference between the man who just cuts lawns and a real gardener is in the touching, he said. The lawn-cutter might just as well not have been there at all; the gardener will be there a lifetime.” – Ray Bradbury, Fahrenheit 451

Leave a legacy is the initiative of the Alumni Office where YBC Students (Year Book Class) will show their appreciation to the College by engaging in petty projects that would stand the end of time with an indelible print laid for other sets to follow.
