CMUL ALUMNI CLASS OF 2005 REFURBISHES DR. AMEYO STELLA ADADEVOH READING ROOM

In a demonstration of its enduring commitment to giving back to its alma mater, the CMUL Alumni Class of 2005 officially unveiled the newly refurbished Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh Reading Room, a project sponsored by the Class, on Wednesday, July 29, 2026.

The unveiling was performed by the Provost of the College of Medicine, University of Lagos (CMUL), Professor Ademola Oremosu, in the presence of members of the College Management, representatives of the CMUL Alumni Class of 2005, staff, and students.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Provost, Professor Ademola Oremosu, expressed profound appreciation to the alumni for the thoughtful intervention and for their continued support of the College through various developmental initiatives. He also acknowledged the Class’s previous donations to the College and commended its sustained commitment to the growth and development of its alma mater.

He noted that the refurbishment of the Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh Reading Room was particularly significant, as it would provide students with a more conducive environment for learning, study, and academic engagement while complementing ongoing efforts to strengthen educational infrastructure.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the CMUL Alumni Caretaker Committee, Professor U.A.C. Okafor, commended the CMUL Alumni Class of 2005 for its generosity and dedication to the growth of the College. He described CMUL alumni as a dependable pillar of support and expressed optimism that the project would inspire other alumni classes to undertake similar initiatives that would positively impact future generations of students.

Speaking on behalf of the Class, the Chairman, Dr. Tomi Kogo, thanked the College Management for its cooperation throughout the execution of the project. He reaffirmed the Class of 2005’s commitment to sustaining its support for the College and contributing to initiatives that enhance teaching, learning, and academic excellence.

The ceremony concluded with the formal unveiling and inspection of the refurbished Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh Reading Room by the College Management and members of the CMUL Alumni Class of 2005. The upgraded facility is expected to provide students with a more conducive and modern learning environment while reinforcing the enduring partnership between the College and its alumni in advancing excellence in medical education.
