The equipment was formally presented to the College Management on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at the New Boardroom of the College by representatives of the Foundation’s Board.

Speaking during the presentation, the leader of the Foundation’s delegation, Dr. Dapo Majekodunmi, explained that the donation was inspired by the Foundation’s commitment to supporting the College in its pursuit of academic excellence while contributing to efforts aimed at mitigating the effects of the “Japa” phenomenon on Nigeria’s healthcare and educational sectors.

Dr. Majekodunmi further highlighted the Foundation’s longstanding relationship with the College and the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), noting that, beyond supporting LUTH with various interventions, the Foundation also runs a scholarship programme that continues to benefit students of the College of Medicine, University of Lagos.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the College, the Provost, Professor Ademola Oremosu, expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Board of the Chief Dr. Moses Adekoyejo Majekodunmi Foundation for its generosity and unwavering support of the institution.

Professor Oremosu paid glowing tribute to the late Chief Dr. Moses Adekoyejo Majekodunmi, acknowledging his historic contributions to the establishment and growth of the College of Medicine, University of Lagos. He also commended Dr. Dapo Majekodunmi for his continued commitment to the advancement of the College, particularly his support in facilitating housemanship placements for CMUL graduates.

Members of the College Management equally conveyed their sincere gratitude to the Foundation’s representatives for sustaining the remarkable legacy of Chief Dr. Moses Adekoyejo Majekodunmi through impactful interventions that continue to strengthen the College’s teaching, learning and administrative capacities.

The donated Digital RISO Duplicating Copier Machine and 10 kVA generator are expected to significantly enhance the College’s examination processing and other critical academic operations by providing reliable printing capabilities and uninterrupted power supply.

The presentation further reinforces the enduring partnership between the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, and the Chief Dr. Moses Adekoyejo Majekodunmi Foundation, demonstrating the vital role of strategic collaborations in strengthening higher education, promoting academic excellence, and supporting the training of future healthcare professionals.
