THE EXECUTIVE MEMBERS OF THE NIGERIA MEDICAL ASSOCIATION, LAGOS STATE CHAPTER PAY A COURTESY CALL ON THE PROVOST, COLLEGE OF MEDICINE, UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS



On Friday, August 21, 2020, the Executive members of the Nigeria Medical Association, Lagos State Chapter paid a courtesy call on the Provost, College of Medicine, University of Lagos, Professor Afolabi Lesi. The Official visit was to strengthen the relationship between the College and the State Chapter of the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA).The Chairman of the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Lagos State Chapter, Dr. Adetunji Adenekan thanked the Provost for accepting to meet with them. He commended the Management of the College for the improvement of existing infrastructures in the College and the Provost for his exemplary leadership. He also commended the Management and members of staff for maintaining peace and order despite the current impasse between the Governing Council and the University Management at the main campus at Akoka.

The Provost, Professor Afolabi Lesi on behalf of the Management of the College congratulated the Executive Officers of the Association for their success at the last NMA elections and conducting themselves peacefully during the elections. He urged them as a stakeholder in the Health Sector to be actively involved in capacity building, professional development and mentoring of Medical and Dental Students particularly those in the final classes. He wished them an impactful and a successful tenure.
