Profile of ENGR. OLATUNBOSUN OLOYEDE, FNSE



Engr. Olatunbosun Oloyede obtained an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) and a Higher National Diploma in Civil Engineering both at Distinction level from Ogun State Polytechnic (now MAPOLY) Abeokuta in 1982 and 1985 respectively.  He was the best graduating student in the School of Engineering, the overall best graduating student in the polytechnic in 1985, and was awarded the Rector’s Award for Academic Excellence. During his time at the polytechnic, he was also the President of the Engineering Students Association. He later proceeded to the prestigious University of Lagos, where he obtained a Bachelor’s of Science B.Sc. (Hons) Civil Engineering in 2nd Class Upper Division in 1989 and a Master’s of Science(M.Sc) in Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering Option) in 1991.

After graduation from the University, he worked with Capitol Design Group as a Civil/Structural Engineer and later joined the Works and Services Department (now Works and Physical Planning Department) of the University of Lagos as an Executive Engineer in 1992.  He has held various positions and responsibilities such as Chief Engineer, Principal Engineer and Senior Engineer.  He was also the coordinator in charge of Building and infrastructure maintenance, Coordinator Physical Planning and construction, Coordinator, Special Duties, Deputy Director of Works (Operations and Maintenance), and have served on many committees in the University of Lagos.  He is currently the Director of Engineering Services in the College of Medicine, University of Lagos.

Engr. Oloyede is an accomplished professional engineer who has worked on many engineering projects ranging from design, construction, costing/evaluation, procurement, facility maintenance, operation, and management capacities. He is a seasoned professional, thoroughbred, result-oriented, articulate registered civil and structural Engineer, seasoned administrator, project manager, and an analytical leader. He has also undertaken several professional training programs within and outside the country.  

Engr. Oloyede is a fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, and a member of other professional bodies including the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered)NIM and a COREN Registered Engineer.
