IREX, USA supports training for Non-Teaching staff in the CMUL

The College of Medicine of the University of Lagos received a grant worth over $4000 for the Phase one of a proposal titled Sustaining the Effectiveness of Research Management Efforts (SERME) in the University of Lagos through Mr. Olufemi Hodefe, a Senior Assistant Secretary of the Research Management Office of the College.   The project which is been funded by   International Research & Exchange Board (IREX) U.S.A is to support the training of the Non-Teaching staffs in various areas of their duties that are connected to Research Management.

Phase I of Project SERME will train selected staff members from the Finance/Bursary, Audit, Procurement, ICT, Legal, Personnel/HR, Postgraduate, Academic Records, Library & International Office. 

Phase II on the other hand will focus on training of a selected number of Administrators in the Departments/ Faculty to support a decentralized research management system in the College.

The overarching aim of the training is to activate continuous support of all stakeholders for the University’s research mandate.
