She obtained her Doctoral and Master\u2019s degrees from the University of\nNigeria, Nsukka, and University of Ibadan, respectively. Dr Ukachi has had the\nprivilege of working in almost all the Sections in the Library and headed some\nof them.&nbsp; She is highly knowledgeable and\nversed in the area of technology adoption in libraries and information management.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size:12.0pt;line-height:107%;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif\">Dr\nNgozi Ukachi, is the first Nigerian to win the prestigious Jay Jordan IFLA\/\nOCLC Early Career Development Fellowship award held in the USA in 2012. She is\na renowned researcher. This is evidenced in the Emerald Literati Award of\nExcellence which she received in the year 2016, following the selection of one of\nher publications as an award-winning paper by Emerald Publishers, United\nKingdom. She has also won several other international awards which include: the\nCarnegie Corporations Fellowship Award in 2015 during which she was trained at the\nUniversity of Pretoria, South Africa; \u201cEssay Competition Award\u201c organized by the\nAcademic and Research Section of IFLA in the year 2010 which she received in\nGothenburg, Sweden; etc. <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size:12.0pt;line-height:107%;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif\">She\nis a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Administration; Member, the Nigerian\nInstitute of Management; Immediate Past Chairman of the Information Technology\n(I.T.) Section of the Nigerian Library Association; a Past General Secretary of\nNigerian Library Association, Lagos State Chapter; a Certified Librarian; and a\nmember of several professional bodies. She is presently a Standing Committee\nmember of the International Federation of Library Associations (IFLA). <o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align:justify\"><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"font-size:12.0pt;line-height:107%;font-family:&quot;Times New Roman&quot;,serif\">Dr.\nUkachi, is passionate about training and disseminating information on trends\nand current ICT skills necessary for effective information service delivery.\nShe has also published widely and presented papers locally and internationally\nin various areas of Library and Information Science.
