The Executive members of the College of  Medicine, University of Lagos Multipurpose Cooperative Society, Idi Araba, on Friday, August 28, 2020 donated 2 infrared thermometers and 44 facemasks to support the efforts made by Management of the College of Medicine in curtailing the spread of the Coronavirus disease on campus.Dr. S. C. Gbotolorun, President of the Cooperative Society who led the delegation to the Provost thanked him for granting them audience at a very short notice. She said that the Cooperative Society was donating the gift to complement Management’s efforts in combating the spread of the Coronavirus disease. She stated that a total of 44 face masks was donated for distribution to Management staff and staff in the Security Units .

The Provost Professor F. E. A. Lesi, in his response, appreciated the Coopreative Society for the donation being the first  to undertake such venture. He enjoined other Cooperative Societies to emulate their example. He urged everyone to join hands in combating the Coronavirus pandemic by adhering strictly to the public health guidelines issued by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC).

Also present at this presentation were, Mr. O.A. Obafemi-Moses, FNIM (College Secretary), Executive members of the Cooperative Society: Mr. Babajide Ogunbiyi (General Secretary CMUL) and Mr. Okoh Andy (Ex-Officio).
