The Provost, Professor David Adewale A. Oke and few members of the management team visited the newly elected Pro Chancellor of the University of Lagos Governing Council Senator (Dr.) Olanrewaju Adeyemi Tejuoso at his Family residence in Lagos on Sunday, 25th April, 2021.Senator (Dr.) Olanrewaju Adeyemi Tejuoso started his elementary education at the University of Lagos Staff School in 1967 and went on to complete his secondary education at Igbobi College Yaba(ICOBA), Lagos in 1974. In 1986, he graduated from the College of Medicine of the University of Lagos after obtaining his MBBS.At the age of 21, he became one of the youngest doctors in Nigeria.
In furthering his professional Career he travelled overseas to accomplish a specialty in telemedicine and medical computing.Olanrewaju Adeyemi Tejuoso (born 1964) is a Nigerian politician. He was a senator from Ogun State at the 8th Assembly and a former Chairman Senate Committee on Health.Tejuoso was born in Abeokuta as a prince of the dynasty of HRM Oba Dr. Adedapo Tejuoso, CON, Karunwi III, Oranmiyan, the Osile of Oke-Ona Egba, and Olori Adetoun Tejuoso. As the son of the Oba, he is also the grand son of one of the first female industrialists in Nigeria, Iyaloye Bisoye Tejuoso, the Iyalode of Egbaland.The Provost entourage includes the College Secretary, Dr. Olayinka Obafemi-Moses; Director of Finance, Dr. Simeon Akinade and the Alumni Relations, Advancement and Endowment Officer, Mr. Olakunle BabatundeOn behalf of the Management, Staff, Students and Alumni of the foremost College of Medicine of the University of Lagos, we congratulate him on his appointment as our Pro Chancellor and Chairman of the University of First Choice And The Nations’ Pride and we are indeed proud of him as an alumnus and worthy ambassador of the College.We are wishing him a successful tenure in office and assure him that we will be following his progress and praying for him.
