The Provost, Professor F.E.A. Lesi received the members of the Alumni class of 1982 to the College of Medicine, University of Lagos on Friday, January 19, 2018.
In a brief reception held in the Board Room of the College, Prof. Lesi welcomed the members of the Class of 1982 back to their great College with a “Short Presentation” titled: Actualising the College of our Dream; stressing on the legacy and history of the College with the vision behind establishing the College by its founding fathers. He drew the attention of the visitors to the achievements made so far, in the areas of capacity building, research and training programmes with numerous collaborations among various institutions.The Provost also revealed that College has challenges in the areas of decayed infrastructures, provision of modern facilities for the training in Dental Sciences and embarking on capital-intensive projects like the Alumni Building, Iconic Building and having an additional floor in the College administrative block.
He, however, commended the Alumni of the College for their support in the refurbishment of the hostels and infrastructural development in the College.
Meanwhile, the members of the class of 1982 were in the College for their 36 years reunion ceremony in order to inspect facilities with the view of identifying the areas where they can give back to the College of their dreams. Present at the ceremony are Deputy Provost, Prof. S.R.A. Akinbo, College Secretary, Oladejo Azeez, Esq.; Vice President, Medilag Alumni, Dr. D.C. Umesi and General Secretary, Medilag Alumni, Dr. U.A.C. Okafor.
